The Holley House Bed & Breakfast
A southern bed and breakfast located in Brewton, Alabama
The Holley House Bed and Breakfast was originally built as a private home in 1906. Through the years, it has undergone many reincarnations, including the first hospital in Escambia County, apartments and a retirement home. In November of 2015, current owner Deborah George began her epic four-year renovation of this beautiful landmark in loving memory of her parents, Dr. and Mrs. A. F. Holley. The B & B has been in operation now for over three years.
Deborah is quick to point out that it was not a dream of hers to own a bed and breakfast but the opportunity presented itself as a way to save what had become her inheritance. It is now a place for the community to have catered events, proms, parties, reunions and weddings. The B & B business tends to be seasonal but she has had customers come to stay from all over the country. Many return again and again, which attests to the wonderful hospitality Deborah provides.
There are ten beautifully decorated rooms available, all with a private bath and access to a porch. Deborah provides a traditional southern breakfast, offering Conecuh sausage and bacon, grits, pancakes, seasonal fare, and always biscuits! There is also a chapel available for weddings.
When asked to describe her experience working with United Bank, Deborah explained, “I’ve had a wonderful relationship with United Bank. They helped me with a construction loan and they give excellent service. I couldn’t ask for better people to work with.”
