Native Monroeville resident Daniel Sawyer saw an opportunity when the local Kubota center became available after the former owner decided to retire. That was in 2014, and he has not looked back. Together with his father and brother, he has built a successful business that serves the surrounding five counties with a team of 22 employees by staying small and selling big.

Daniel mentioned that he had not worked in retail before and didn’t realize just how demanding it could be. He literally received on-the-job training. Daniel credits his success to having great customers and good employees, adding that his relationship with United Bank has been a big part of that success, too. “I was very naïve when getting into the business,” he said. “United Bank helped set up my lines of credit and, during COVID, also helped me handle the Paycheck Protection Program.”
