2 U Tire & Wheel
Revolutionizing the Tire Industry with Mobile Services and Entrepreneurial Opportunities
As a veteran of 31 years in the tire and custom wheel industry, Scott Blair has been involved in manufacturing, wholesale and retail sales. This experience, along with his tenacity to create new products and market segments, provided him with the ability to be at the forefront of an onsite automotive service industry that “brings the tire store 2 U!”
In 2012, Scott was introduced to a new concept of onsite passenger/light-truck tire service. With his best friend and soon to be business partner, he co-founded 2U Tire & Wheel in 2014. The first was launched in Mesa, AZ by his business partner. In May of 2017, he launched 2U Tire & Wheel in Baldwin County and has not looked back. 2U Tire & Wheel provides onsite mounting, precision balancing, flat repair and tire pressure sensor service at someone’s home, office, playground or wherever they need it.
As for sales, instead of selling you a product just because it is in stock, his team works with you to meet your needs and expectations, then proactively educates you on which products are best. His team then searches for the correct products at the best prices and then schedules the service at a time and place convenient for you. “This business allows me to work with other like-minded individuals, from all walks of life,” Scott said. “It has almost become its own business incubator.” Clients have loved the experience so much that referrals and word of mouth have been the best advertising.
In addition to 2U Tire & Wheel Service, he also sells this mobile tire concept through 2U Mobile Solutions. He has helped over 12 start-ups or existing retail business owners expand into mobile tire service with hundreds more on the horizon due to an agreement to deliver vans for many years to come. He has rented additional space and hired more staff to handle the increase in demand and sales. This expansion requires capital to buy in volume or in large quantities to get the price right and have it available when the vans are ready to be delivered and launched.
Scott describes his relationship with United Bank as being instrumental in their growth. Scott stated, “At a time when we needed it most, United Bank set us up with a line of credit to buy inventory. By working with Commercial Lender, Chad Yarbrough, we found the solutions to meet our business needs.”
